Problems Solved by Blown Head Gasket Repair:

  • Failing or completely failed head gasket
  • Warped heads
  • Cracked engine blocks and heads
  • Coolant leaks between the head and block
  • Intake manifold coolant leaks
  • Overheating due to a cracked head or block
  • Oil leaks into the cooling system
  • Coolant leaks into the oil
  • Excessive steam from the tailpipe

Most failures stem from overheating. Avoid the high blown head gasket cost of engine replacement by checking these common causes first.

Sudden Overheating:

  • Defective Thermostat
  • Defective Cooling Fan
  • Cooling System Leak

Recurring Overheating:

  • Defective Radiator Cap
  • Defective Cooling Fan
  • Plugged Radiator or Heater Core
  • Sticking Thermostat
  • Cooling System Leak

What is a blown head gasket?

It is a breach in the seal between the cylinder head and the engine block. This often happens during severe overheating when parts warp.

The gasket fails under high pressure. Exhaust gases then escape into cooling or oil ports, causing the engine to overheat further.

What are the symptoms?

Visible steam from the tailpipe is a common sign. Some minor leaks show no visual indicators and require a gas check in the cooling system.

You may also see a milky white emulsion under the oil cap. This indicates water in the oil, which increases head gasket leak repair cost.

How does Thermagasket work?

Breaches create "hot spots" reaching temperatures 3 to 4 times normal levels. Thermagasket reacts to this heat instantly.

The metallic alloys form a high-temperature seal. This deflects heat away from the patch and preserves the long-term integrity of the repair.
